Happy New Year!!

Hiya!!

Well, its been an eventful holiday!! No posts due to my computer line not working, but it was actually nice to be away and just enjoy the break. I am really looking forward to this new year!! My baby is due in May & we're all excited!! Christmas was a wonderful time & I received so much love & presents from everyone, it was really quite humbling. But, most of all I enjoyed watching my daughter open her presents, it seems happier that way!! I hope every one's day was beautiful!!

So, the New Year is upon us!! What will 2011 be for all of you!?! Wonderful, I hope. Time to leave the past year behind and open fresh eyes to the new one ahead. Usually I would take photos for this day or even Christmas but, I find that I seem much more busier this year. But, as I sit and think on the New Year, I really am filled with hope that it will be a better one. A stronger one for me, filled with much more happiness and strength. I look ahead with positivity and happiness. The past year has had its ups and downs, but one that I learned a great deal from, most of all about myself and grew a lot as a person. I went to Paris for the first time & that was a very magical place, one that I hope to venture to again and again, discovering new things each time. I met many new friends that I will cherish for the rest of my life. And best of all I was blessed with the upcoming arrival of a new baby in the new year!! One that I & my family are very much looking forward to. Life is so good.

I wish everyone love, happiness, prosperity and hope in the New Year! Whatever you may go through or face, I hope there is someone there to be by your side pulling you through!!

Always love,

* Bonne Année - Féliz Año Nuevo *

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul.

Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man.

Happy Christmas

Hello,

I have a million and one things to do today, plus a doctor's appointment! I have baking to do and some wrapping left, but I iwll get it all done :) I have my little helper in the form of my daughter Saffron to help!! The sun is shining and the day is moving swiftly on it seems.
I'll post some recipes of the items I am making later on. For the next few days I will be away relaxing and enjoying some family time and much needed rest!!

I hope that all of you have a glorious Christmas time with family & friends! May you be surrounded with love and great joy!! May the spirit of Christmas and love remain in your hearts for all the new year to come. This for me is a time of year set aside to celebrate the birth of Christ, not everyone believes & I'm not here to force belief on anyone, that is a choice left to the person. (no matter the true date of his birth). But, for me that is what its greatest meaning is - LOVE! A baby being born to bring the greatest gift of all - LOVE! And love has no religion or boundaries, anyone can believe and share in love. And with the state of the world, we need just that no matter where we come from, what we believe or not believe in, no matter the colour of our skin or anything, we're all entitled to be loved! I will leave you with some sweet Christmas quotes that I enjoy...Have a Very Happy Christmas!!

"Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect". - Oren Arnold

"Good news from heaven the angels bring,
Glad tidings to the earth they sing:
To us this day a child is given,
To crown us with the joy of heaven".
- Martin Luther

"No more lives torn apart,
That wars will never start,
And time will heal our hearts.
Every man will have a friend,
That right will always win,
And love will never end.
This is my grown-up Christmas List".

"Until one feels the spirit of Christmas, there is no Christmas. All else is outward display - so much tinsel and decorations. For it isn't the holly, it isn't the snow. It isn't the tree, nor the firelight's glow. It's the warmth that comes to the hearts of men when the Christmas spirit returns again". - Author Unknown.

"Merry Christmas to all & to all a Goodnight"

Wouldn't it be great, if war really was over in all the world!!
Maybe one day ;-)

Winter Bliss

Ahoy!!

As said yesterday, here are some of the photos I took the other day!! The sun is out today like yesterday, so some of this snow will be melting as I type! But, it looked so beautiful I felt like I had travelled to Narnia. I'm not the biggest winter person, more of a sun baby, so to say I enjoyed the snow was a big thing!! Nature in all its forms is amazing! I'll try and go further a field soon & take more, as Scotland is beautiful in the winter around the lochs.

Christmas day is fast approaching now, I have some last minute present wrapping to do & tomorrow is baking day..much to make, but I do love baking, so that will be fun :)

And I must get in more Christmas movies, I've not watched as many as I would like to, so have to remedy that!! I hope you enjoy the photos, as I enjoyed taking them as always. Keep safe wherever you may be!!

Wisdom Wednesday

"There are some of the best happy and depressing quotes about being alone. Try to take loneliness in a positive manner, as a way to be with yourself, who knows, there might come a time when you won't have time to even think once about self"! Unknown.

It's A Wonderful Life!

Bonjour loves,
Not long now until Christmas day :) All my shopping is just about done, soon I will begin baking up a storm of things to take to the Christmas dinner. I have mounds of things to wrap and cards yet to send – I am behind due to the ice and snow catastrophe we had recently. But, while the hustle and bustle is on for many, I think its important to remember what this magical season is about!!
Wether you believe in God or not, it’s still a season of love, one that should fill us with hope and belief to keep us warm and loving all the new year through. Reminds us, that it’s not all about ourselves, but about others and how we need to reach out in love each day, because the world is filled with so much negativity, why not make it easier for others & ourselves.
It’s a time that should bring all people together, regardless of where they come from, what they believe or where they are today. Because love is the greatest power of all. No matter what religion or beliefs we have, love is more than likely the very first belief, to love others & spread love wherever you may go.
There may be some who aren’t feeling the love around this time of year, due to being alone or depressed or anything. And its this very time, that we should reach out beyond ourselves and show love. There may be family or friends you haven’t talked to in a long time, what better time of year to reach out to them.
I watch this movie every year, sometimes even when it’s not Christmas, as it’s about a man named George Bailey, who’s deeply depressed and suicidal and ready to end it all, when an angel gives him a second glance at what would have been if he’d never been born. It’s a beautiful movie, that always makes me feel blessed for being alive and those who love me & that I can love back.

Hello Hello

"You Know You’re In Love, when you can’t fall asleep, because reality is finally better than your dreams”! *Dr. Seuss*

Well, this is my new blog, a place to come to lay down my thoughts and feelings about anything going on in life. A place I can share my days, the things I like to do, photos I may take pictures of, travels, just basically anything and everything to do with my lifestyle, as a mother, a wife, an artist, a traveller – anything.

I’ve always wanted to do something like this, I may mess up from time to time, or get things right in the next moment, but I’ll have fun along the way. It’s not always easy being a mother and a wife, So, here I can vent, laugh, scream and do whatever I wish. I am who I am because of my family and I have the best family in the world, this is just another fun extension of me. I may talk about art or food or photography or the planet, you never know. Whatever I may chat about, I hope anyone reading will enjoy, if not tell  me about it!!
For now,
